Week in week out there is entertainment at College Fields. Music is a regular feature but this week was music of a different style. An organisation called ‘Music for Hospitals’ organises professional musicians and the last concert of April 2017 featured some jigs played on fiddle and cello by a duo ‘Pegbox’. Not the normal sing along that is always popular but these professionals had hands tapping and percussion keeping the beat by many of the residents.
Also with us was Sue Evans who has recently been appointed as Chief Executive of Social Care Wales. She enjoyed the concert and also meeting a number of residents and meeting them not only at the concert but also met many in their rooms. She said she was impressed by the warmth of the home and commented on the nail care of many of the ladies who had obviously enjoyed pamper sessions. May 2017

We have someone new living in our home -
Well done to 'College Fields Crazy Ladies'... all team members completed the 5 km run on sand, in a good time. Fun was had by all..... we started at 'Marcos' and ended up treating ourselves to chips!!!!
Money raised has gone to Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice from their ‘Rainbow Fun Run’.
So.......this week out and about in Barry 🌴 Island! You don't have to go far to have a good old giggle! And a bit of ☔️ rain has never stopped us getting out and about before. Mix together a bit of rain, a gorilla 🦍, a panda, a witch's hat and an ice cream and what do you get? Lots of fun and laughter
