A new team of activities organisers will be responsible for activities in 2015. Pam Foley has done sterling work on her own for a number of years and her efforts are much appreciated. Unfortunately, Pam has had to give up her role due to ill health and the opportunity to appoint two ‘new’ organisers has been taken.
This will allow a double benefit as more time will be set aside for one to one activities with those who are unable to join in with the group activities.
In the first few months of the year several new activities have been organised such as cinema visits to the Memorial Hall, a visit to the national museum of Wales, shopping trips and even some visiting creepy crawlies. These are in addition to the regular popular activities such as professional musicians visiting and giving concerts.
It is hoped that this new approach will further enhance the quality of life for residents.
